Highlights of reformed education policy,2020 in India.

The much needed reform in Indian education system has finally arrived.

New Education Policy 2020 has got  announced. Below are the highlights of it.

1. 10+2 board structure has been dropped.

2. New school structure will be 5+3+3+4.

3. Upto 5 pre school, 6 to 8 Mid School, 8 to 11 High School  & 12 onwards Graduation.

4. Any Degree will be of 4 years.

5. 6th std onwards vocational courses will be  available.

6. From 8th to 11th, students can choose subjects.

7. All graduation course will have major and minor.

Example - science student can have Physics as Major and Music as minor also. Any combination  can be chosen as per likeness.

8. All higher education will be governed by only one authority. 

9. UGC AICTE will be merged.

10. All University government, private, Open, Deemed, Vocational etc. will have same grading and other rules.

11. New Teacher Training board will be setup for all kinds of teachers in country & no state can change it.

12. Same level of accreditation to any collage , based on it's rating college will get autonomous rights and funds.

13. New Basic learning program will be created by government for parents to teach children upto 3 years in home and for pre school 3 to 6.

14. Multiple entry and exit from any course.

15. Credit system for graduation for each year student will get some credits which he can utilize if he takes break in course and come back again to complete course.

16. All school's exams will be semester wise twice an year.

17. The syllabus will be reduced to core knowledge of any particular subject only.

18. More focus on student practical and application knowledge, less on theory.

19. For any graduation course if student complete only one year he will get a basic certificate, if he complete two years then he will get diploma certificate and if he complete full course then he will get degree certificate. So no year of any student will get wasted if he/she break the course in between.

20.All the graduation course feed of all universities will be governed by single authority with capping on each course.

21. E-learning course in regional languages. 

22. Coding to be taught from class 6th onwards.

23. Now IITs will also teach arts & humanities. 

Now we can hope our education system will be at par with other developed countries and future of our children will be bright.

Growth is directly related to change.India needs to change.

In western countries it's like earn while you learn.This doesn't only helps youngsters to fund their education but also helps them to get practical job experience as soon as they step outside school.They get a chance to groom themselves early in life without the need to deep dive into books. Real world is way too different from bookish world.

However,in India companies set so much benchmarks to recruit a person that by the time they grab a job,they've already wasted so many years for hunting a decent job.

Additionally,education loans burden them so much that even after securing job they have to invest so many years to repay such loan.Half of their life end up getting messed up with hunting for jobs & paying loans.

This also affects the GDP growth of india because inspite of being capable to work,youngsters end up investing time in getting degrees which ultimately doesn't get that valued because most company look to recruit experienced people.

We see highly talented people are working in low salaries,talented people getting laid off,unequal payment for skilled and unskilled or semi-skilled people. All these force many indians to leave India in search of  better life in western countries.

Unskilled/semi-skilled people often end up doing crimes to feed their families. Statistics in India has shown that poverty has been most prominent reason for crimes in India. 

When actually we will see a positive change in our country ? Can our next generation feel the change which we couldn't feel ? 

With such questions in mind all I can do is just to wait for change to happen.

Though innocent people are losing their lives,Our dear planet Earth is healing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic because of the following reasons : 

1. Less automobile emissions in environment which means less harmful chemicals like carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, volatile organic compounds and benzene in air that we breathe.

2. Less accident's related deaths.

3. People are becoming more serious about personal hygiene and sanitization.

4. Less litter on the roads.

5. People are learning to give time to their loved ones.

6. People are learning to respect doctors
(only applicable in case of India)

7. Less focus on communal riots and social gathering related to agitations.

8. Thorough checking in airports which can  stop smuggling,illegal infiltration,human trafficking.

9. Masks not just filter SARS-CoV-2 ( i.e Novel Coronavirus) but it also filters cigarette smoke,smog,dust and air pollutants. Many countries have seen cases of respiratory diseases due to passive smoking. Mask will help protect us from other pollutants too.

10. The public transports and roadways in many parts of India have not been sanitized with ages. This might will get done now to control pandemic.

1.Why it took 6 years to declare death sentence to perpetrators of heinous gangrape and murder  of late  Nirbhaya ?


2. Why it took so many years to declare that acid can only be purchased by people of 18 years or above when an acid attack victim filed PIL in Supreme Court of India ? Why it did not get banned altogether to be sold in brick & mortar shops ?


3. Why beauty is so much important for a female in India to succeed or to get valued ?


4. Why India is becoming difficult country to live in when we value our customs,culture and laws?
